For our Corporate Development, we are looking for a Director Corporate Development (m/f/d) at our Hamburg location – someone who shares our drive to go one step further in shaping strategic growth and unlocking new opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives with a clear roadmap for the HOYER Group, closely aligned with merger and acquisition activities
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and lead comprehensive due diligence processes
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and other senior executives to plan and execute strategic initiatives
  • Lead key projects focused on operational excellence and major M&A activities, including due diligence, post-merger integration, and negotiation of purchase agreements
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives aimed at long-term value creation and business optimization
  • Define and execute corporate strategy, including portfolio management and capital allocation across regions, business units, and product lines
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution
  • The Director of Corporate Development is part of the Operating Board and reports directly to the CEO

Your Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics (or equivalent). A Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable
  • Relevant certifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Mergers & Acquisitions are a strong advantage
  • Extensive international experience in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate development—ideally within the logistics or B2B services sector
  • Proven track record in business administration, finance, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning with executive leadership in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work closely with senior executives and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and project management skills are also important, as the Director will be responsible for leading various strategic initiatives and projects
  • Deep understanding of the industry and market dynamics, trends and insights
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to support team development and performance
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally as needed
