Your Responsibilities
- Manage an international procurement team in executing the global procurement strategy and adhering to functional procurement guidelines
- Monitor and report on global contract and vendor management, providing updates to senior management
- Align with and effectively support stakeholders such as Global Sales, Operations, and Corporate Center departments to understand and address their business requirements
- Oversee and ensure that contracts and negotiated rates are kept up to date and are transparently maintained in relevant business systems
- Drive and maintain KPIs and vendor performance levels, and lead corrective actions when necessary
- Establish and maintain effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Promote and implement sustainable procurement initiatives, e.g., participation in Ecovadis assessments, ISO audits, etc
- Conduct market research and adjust the procurement strategy based on market developments
- Coordinate the creation and maintenance of category plans and integrate new purchasing categories into Corporate Purchasing
- Manage a spend volume of approximately €100 million and lead a team of six employees
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance of operational purchasing activities with corporate procurement guidelines and procedures
Your Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Business, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA is a plus
- Professional certification in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience and proven track record of initiating and implementing cost reduction and productivity improvement programs
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented corporate culture and work cross-functionally to resolve issues
- Solid understanding of finance and/or accounting, including budgeting, cost management, financial reporting, treasury, and risk management
- High level of assertiveness, both internally and externally
- Experience working in a matrix organization is a plus
