Do you have experience as a freight forwarder, logistics coordinator, transport planner, or customer service specialist within the logistics sector? We are looking to strengthen our operational teams with professionals who can contribute to the efficient coordination of import, export, and customer service activities. Depending on your experience, expertise, and ambitions, we will determine together where your skills can add the most value.

Your tasks

As part of a team of approximately 14 logistics professionals, you will play a key role in managing transport operations from order intake through final delivery. You will act as the central point of contact between customers, carriers, shipping lines, and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution of transport assignments and maintaining high service levels.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating international import and export shipments.
  • Managing transport orders from receipt to successful completion.
  • Booking transport services with carriers and shipping lines.
  • Planning and coordinating loading, unloading, and delivery schedules.
  • Preparing and verifying transport documentation and operational records.
  • Monitoring shipment progress and proactively communicating with customers.
  • Identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate data and records within logistics systems.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and logistics partners.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable transport regulations and procedures.

Professionals with substantial industry experience will have the opportunity to handle more complex logistics operations, support process improvements, and share their expertise with colleagues.

Your profile

  • Minimum MBO Level 4 education or equivalent working and thinking level.
  • Relevant experience within freight forwarding, logistics coordination, transportation, shipping, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of transport and logistics processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • German language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ADR, IMDG, and RID regulations is an advantage.
  • Experience within the tank container industry is highly desirable.
  • Living within commuting distance of Botlek, Rotterdam, or possessing reliable transportation.

  • A 7-month full-time contract with the prospect of permanent employment.
  • A competitive gross monthly salary between €3,400 and €5,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
