We are looking for a high-energy, detail oriented Inside Sales Representative in Houston, TX to serve as the commercial engine of our sales organization. This role is not order entry. It is a revenue-driving, KPI-focused position responsible for lead qualification, quoting, account support, and collaboration with field sales and operations. You will be on the front line of customer engagement, helping convert opportunities into booked business while ensuring operational alignment and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities
- Manage and qualify leads by responding to inbound inquiries within 24 hours, executing targeted outbound prospecting, and routing qualified opportunities to outside sales
- Ensure high data quality by maintaining ≥95% CRM accuracy
- Prepare accurate transportation quotes (ISO tanks, drayage, bulk shipments) and coordinate with operations to confirm capacity and transit timelines
- Drive revenue conversion by following up on open quotes and supporting customer onboarding and documentation
- Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, providing proactive shipment updates, resolving issues, and strengthening long‑term customer relationships
- Gather customer feedback to improve service quality and inform pricing strategy
- Support sales activities by scheduling field‑sales meetings, assisting with account strategy and target‑list development, and conducting pricing and competitive research
- Contribute to commercial efforts by supporting the creation of proposals and presentations
- Collaborate closely with Outside Sales on account strategy, coordinate daily with Operations on availability and scheduling, and escalate pricing or service issues when needed
- Work cross‑functionally with customer service, billing, and compliance to ensure smooth execution and alignment across teams
- Use core sales and operations tools including the CRM platform, quoting system, Microsoft Teams/phone system, and internal communication channels
- Leverage dashboards and forecasting tools to track activity, performance, and pipeline health
