For our Business Unit Chemilog, division Sales Intermodal/Road located in Dormagen, we are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and customer focused, Key Account Manager (m/w/d).

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Takes care of customers. Makes sure customer visits and pro-active communication with customers take place on regular basis.
  • Takes responsibility of processing tenders and projects, acquisition and after sales.
  • Identifies new potential customers and acquires new customers within the scope of the agreed targets and boundaries of the Business Unit Chemilog.
  • Makes sure that Debtor Management within for the assigned customers is in line with set targets.
  • Observes trends in the market. Analyses competitors and derives developments as well as continuous measure for customer care.
  • Is able to identify projects  for customers and can actively steer, coordinate or delegate these projects.
  • Build and improve relationships with both internal and external stake-holders.
  • Close collaboration and coordination with the operations department in projects, day-to-day business, complaint handling (escalation level) and for implementation of new business.
  • Responsible for Turnover and GM1 for assigned customers. Actively monitors Turnover and Margin and escalates to operations, commercial manager and/or customer in case of deviations.
  • Documentation of customer-related data and information.

Ihr Können

  • At least 2 years of proven sales experience in logistics, particularly in the field of liquid chemicals and intermodal transportation
  • German and English on negotiation level
  • Capability to recognize market trends and customer requirements and have the ability to translate information in to actions.
  • Driven and determined, result-oriented and with a hands-on approach. Ability to work independently, with initiative, self-motivation and discipline.
  • Ability to work within a highly competitive and pressured operating environment.
  • Available and willing to travel frequently, mainly within Germany
