For our Business IT department, we are looking for a Project Application Manager (m/f/d) at our Botlek-Rotterdam or Dormagen location, someone who embodies what all our employees have in common: always going one step further.
Your Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day operations with a practical and structured mindset – from resolving software issues to developing project plans
- Coordinate across departments within the HOYER organization, especially with the cotac Group, including operational staff, office teams, and international colleagues
- Drive digital transformation by supporting the shift from paper-based processes to digital tools (e.g. tablets), implementing OCR gates, and establishing EDI/API connections with customers
- Lead and support IT projects on both national and international levels, such as rolling out driver kiosks, mobile devices for repair teams, and expanding software solutions to new global sites
- Ensure system reliability by providing first and second-line support to internal users, particularly those on the work floor, and helping them resolve software-related issues efficiently
- Collaborate with software vendors to define requirements, coordinate updates, manage bug fixes, and conduct functional testing to continuously improve system performance
Your Expertise
- A higher professional education level (HBO) is required. A degree in logistics, supply chain, data science, computer science, or a related field is considered an advantage
- Fluency in Dutch and a good level of English (written and spoken) are essential
- Basic knowledge of German is an advantage and we provide you with the opportunity to further develop your language skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but we also welcome candidates who are eager to grow into the position. A curious and proactive mindset is key — we’re looking for someone who wants to learn, explore, improve, and solve challenges together
- Openness to occasional business travel (approximately once per quarter) is expected. A valid driver’s license is therefore required
